About us

Oval Training Institute is a private limited company that was founded in November 2021 and incorporated on 24h February 2022. We operate from Zion Mall, 2nd floor in Eldoret town. As a training institute, our goal is to be the leading training Centre offering training that is relevant to the fast-changing world of African youths.

We have one director and founder where-as the Managing Director is an accomplished entrepreneur in Kenya. Our dream to open the institute was necessitated by the high rate of unemployment among the Kenyan youths, college graduates, high school leavers, and basic school dropouts.

To offer training that addresses the needs of the rapidly changing global workplace.

To educate the young people with demand-driven skills that provides a platform for maximizing human talent.

Today, Kenya’s youth unemployment rate stands at 65 percent, which is among the highest in the world. Three in five unemployed Kenyans are between 15-35 years old. The situation is exacerbated by a shrinking economy, political instability, slow economic growth, corruption, nepotism, demand for many years of experience by potential employers, and pervasive income inequality.

Most of Kenyan youth either drop out of school or graduate without the skills needed for self-employment.

There are also too few colleges to accommodate all the students and a lack of facilities to prepare students for the challenging job market and youth-centric opportunities. There are thousands of youths who graduate from various universities and colleges, ready to enter the job market every year.

With the high unemployment rate, frustration and stress levels among the youth have skyrocketed and mental health has become a major issue affecting the youth. Depression, anxiety, and various eating disorders are also becoming leading mental problems among the youth.

These are just but a few of the youth challenges in Kenya that affect their day-to-day lives as they try to survive and reach their dreams.

We realized this huge unemployment and social problem and started the institute to prepare the youth with the right and relevant for the dynamic job market. We also noticed that most employers are seeking candidates with skills with specific tailor-made requirements, through offering short courses to help them train in the fields.
